Maxxis India and Yamaha join hands

 

On 8 April 2020, Maxxis India announced a unique retail partnership with Yamaha following which co-branded Maxxis tires would now be available at Maxxis and Yamaha dealerships.

Maxxis is a subsidiary completely owned by Cheng Shin Rubber Ind. Co. Ltd., which is the largest Bicycle tire manufacturer in the world. Cheng operates in 6 continents with the help of 21 manufacturing plants and 5 R&D centers all over the world with customers across 180 countries.

With regard to this association, Mr. Bing-Lin Wu, Marketing Head, Maxxis India, stated:-

'The year 2020 marks 5th year of Maxxis operations in India. Maxxis Tires had a great start this year as we begin our association with YAMAHA. To further provide impetus to Maxxis vision, we are advancing our retail partnerships with biggest two-wheeler companies in India. This partnership demonstrates our strength and the ability to offer high quality products for the country's leading two-wheeler brand and will allow us to reach out to several customers through YAMAHA's robust network across the country. Our aim is to create a strong brand preference for Maxxis in India and showcase Maxxis range of innovative and technologically superior products to the customers.'

Which Yamaha 2 Wheelers will get the Maxxis Tyres?

As per the agreement, tires of following specifications would be fitted as standard to these Yamaha vehicles:-

  • Fr: 90/90-12 M6307 and Rr: 110/90-10 M6220 will come fitted in 125cc BS6 compliant scooter range of Yamaha Ray ZR and Fascino.
  • Fr: 90/90-12 M6309 and Rr: 110/90-10 M6310 will come fitted in BS6 compliant scooter range of Yamaha Ray ZR Street Rally 125 FI

These tires will also be available at Yamaha for aftermarket sales as well. Also, the training sessions conducted by Maxxis are now being included in Yamaha's dealer knowledge and training modules.

Maxxis offers a 5+1 unconditional warranty with Maxxis 2-wheeler tires. The brand is continuously growing with there OEM partnerships as well. They earlier tied up with Hero & Honda two-wheelers and are currently providing tires on some of their scooters.
