4th-Gen Nissan X-Trail Revealed In India; Launch Soon

The Nissan X-Trail returns to India after a decade, now in its fourth-generation form. Imported as a completely built-up unit (CBU), it will serve as Nissan’s flagship model in the country.

Here’s a look at what the new India-spec X-Trail has to offer: –

  • In India, Nissan will offer the X-Trail with a 1.5-litre turbocharged petrol engine with 12V mild-hybrid technology. This setup belts out 163PS of max power and 300Nm of peak torque.
  • Paired with a CVT automatic gearbox, it will only be offered in front-wheel-drive configuration. It also gets a limited slip differential.
  • Design-wise, the Indian-spec X-Trail looks similar to its global version, featuring a split headlamp setup upfront and a chrome-surrounded U-shaped grille. The SUV also features silver skid plates, while the thick black cladding all around gives it a rugged appeal.
  • Against the measuring tape, the X-Trail stands 4680mm long, 1840mm wide and 1725mm tall. It boasts a wheelbase of 2705mm and a ground clearance of 210mm.
