Tata Motors has once again teased the upcoming Tiago facelift, this time highlighting the CNG iteration. And the latest teaser confirms that the CNG automatic (AMT) variants of the hatch will get paddle shifters, making it the first car in its segment to offer this feature. Prices of the Tiago facelift will be revealed tomorrow, i.e., on May 28, 2026.
Since CNG cars generally feel less powerful than their petrol counterparts, the paddle shifters will add a layer of control to manually downshifts and upshifts, thus reducing the usual jerkiness associated with AMT gear changes and improving drivability in situations like overtaking, driving on inclines, or navigating stop-go traffic.

No changes are expected underneath the hood. The Tiago CNG will continue to get a 1.2-litre, 3-cylinder, naturally aspirated petrol engine as the outgoing model, which can be had with either a 5-speed manual gearbox or a 5-speed AMT. Furthermore, the dual-cylinder CNG setup will continue in the facelifted model to enable some usable boot space for your luggage. The direct start-in-CNG feature is also expected to be carried forward.
Regarding amenities, the top-spec variant of the Tiago CNG will also get a free-standing touchscreen infotainment system, a floating digital driver display, auto AC, rear AC vents, dual wireless chargers, push-button start/stop, 360-degree camera and a rotary gear selector.

With all these changes, expect the facelifted Tata Tiago CNG to command a premium of around Rs 30,000 to Rs 40,000 over the current model, which ranges between Rs 5.54 lakh and Rs 7.92 lakh (ex-showroom). Once launched, it will continue its rivalry against the Maruti Swift, WagonR and Hyundai Grand i10 Nios.
