2025 Skoda Kodiaq Launched In India At Rs 46.89 Lakh

The 2025 Skoda Kodiaq has officially launched in India, with introductory prices starting at Rs 46.89 lakh (ex-showroom, pan-India). Revealed earlier at the Bharat Mobility Global Expo, the SUV is available in two variants: Sportline and Selection L&K (Laurin & Klement). While the Sportline is priced at Rs 46.89 lakh, the top-end Selection L&K comes in at Rs 48.69 lakh — a noticeable hike over the outgoing model’s Rs 39.99 lakh tag.

Design-wise, both variants share a sleek and modern look with LED headlamps, a signature butterfly grille, and connected C-shaped LED tail lamps. However, the Sportline features a blacked-out grille, ORVMs, and roof rails for a sporty vibe, whereas the L&K gets chrome detailing and an LED light bar on the grille for a more premium presence. Both variants ride on 18-inch alloy wheels with distinct designs.

Inside, the layout remains consistent across both versions, with differences in colour themes — the Sportline sports an all-black cabin, while the L&K goes with a dual-tone black and tan finish. Shared highlights include a 12.9-inch floating touchscreen infotainment system, a 10.25-inch fully digital driver’s display, multifunctional physical rotary knobs, a 3-spoke Skoda-branded steering wheel, dual wireless phone chargers, a panoramic sunroof, a 13-speaker Canton sound system, and ventilated, heated, and massage-enabled front seats.

In terms of safety, the new Kodiaq comes equipped with nine airbags, electronic stability control (ESC), a 360-degree camera, hill start and descent control, front and rear parking sensors, park assist, and a tyre pressure monitoring system. However, it misses out on advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS).

Powering the SUV is an upgraded 2.0-litre turbo-petrol engine that now produces 204 PS (up by 14 PS), while torque remains the same at 320 Nm. The engine is paired with a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission (DCT) and offers an all-wheel-drive setup with a claimed fuel efficiency of 14.86 kmpl.

In the Indian market, the 2025 Skoda Kodiaq competes with full-size SUVS like the Toyota Fortuner, MG Gloster, Jeep Meridian, and the upcoming MG Majestor.
