2025 MG Windsor EV Inspire Edition Launched At Rs 12.64 Lakh

To mark the one year of Windsor in the Indian market, JSW MG Motor has launched a special edition of the EV named the “Inspire Edition”, priced at Rs 16.65 lakh (ex-showroom). Limited to just 300 units, this new special edition variant is based on the top-spec Essence trim and features a host of cosmetic enhancements over the regular model. Its deliveries are set to commence from October 15.

What’s Special About the Windsor EV Inspire Edition?

The new Windsor EV Inspire Edition gets sporty cosmetic updates, comprising dual-tone exterior body paint, new blacked-out 18-inch alloy wheels, rose gold accents on the claddings, and a signature “INSPIRE” badging. All these changes amplify the style quotient. Inside, the Inspire Edition flaunts a new Sangria Red cabin theme that gives it a premium appeal.

It also gets a dashcam, along with a themed accessory package that includes a rose gold finish across the front grille, body side mouldings, rear window sunshades, and bumper corner protectors. It also gets custom 3D floor mats with ‘Inspire’ branding, ‘Inspire’ cushions, and a leather key cover.

Other Features

Other notable features of the Windsor Inspire Edition includes rain-sensing wipers, 6-way power adjustment for the driver side, 256-colour ambient lighting, a 15.6-inch touchscreen infotainment display with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a 9-speaker Infinity audio system, panoramic sunroof a 8.8-inch digital driver’s display, automatic AC, ventilated front seats, tilt & telescopic adjustment functions for steering wheel, wireless smartphone charger, 135-degree reclining rear seats, cruise control, a 360-degree camera, ISOFIX child seat mounts, 6 airbags, electronic stability control, hill start & hill descent control, electronic parking brake with auto hold, tyre pressure monitoring system, and rear parking sensors.

It is worth noting that the Inspire Edition does not come with ADAS, as this feature is exclusive to the Pro variants.

Battery Pack and Range

The Inspire Edition is based on the regular version of the Windsor and hence, it is only offered with the 38 kWh battery pack that propels the front axle-mounted motor rated at 136PS and 200Nm. It claims a range of 332 km on a single charge.

MG also offers the Windsor with a larger 52.9kWh unit with the Pro variants that have a claimed MIDC Part 1+2 range of 449 km.

Rivals

The MG Windsor EV takes on the likes of the Tata Nexon EV, Mahindra XUV400, and select variants of the Tata Curvv EV and Hyundai Creta Electric.
