The 2024 Nissan X-Trail has recently been revealed in India, with prices slated to be announced on August 1, 2024. This Skoda Kodiaq-rivaling SUV will be offered in limited numbers as a fully imported model. If you’re planning to put your money on this flagship Nissan SUV, here’s a look at its exterior colour options.
Nissan will offer the X-Trail in three exterior colours: Pearl White, Diamond Black and Champagne Silver.
Nissan X-Trail: Indian-spec vs Global Version
Sources reveal that Nissan is selling leftover stock of the base-spec variant of the X-Trail from some global markets. These models feature minor tweaks and do not include the previously showcased ePOWER technology. Having said that, the Indian-spec X-Trail features bigger 20-inch alloy wheels compared to 18-inch units on the global version. Inside, the larger touchscreen infotainment has been replaced with an 8-inch unit, which was previously offered in the Nissan Kicks. The SUV will also forgo a strong hybrid system and all-wheel-drivetrain option available in the overseas version. However, to appeal to Indian buyers, the carmaker has introduced a panoramic sunroof in the India-bound version.
The other notable features of the Indian-spec Nissan X-Trail will include a digital driver’s display, wireless charger, dual-zone climate control, driving modes, auto wipers, seven airbags, 360-degree camera, front & rear parking sensors, electronic parking brakes with auto-hold, traction control, hill assist and much more.
Nissan will offer the X-Trail in a 7-seater configuration, with the 40:20:40 split bench seat in the second row, featuring slide and recline functions. The third row 50:50 split seats also gets a recline function.
Nissan X-Trail Powertrain
Nissan India will offer the X-Trail with a 1.5-litre, 3-cylinder, turbocharged petrol engine featuring a 12V mild-hybrid system. Mated to a CVT automatic gearbox, this engine belts out 163PS of max power and 300Nm of peak torque.
It will be offered in a front-wheel-drive configuration only.
Expected Price and Rivals
Nissan is expected to price the X-Trail from around Rs 40 lakh (ex-showroom), placing it against the Skoda Kodiaq, Jeep Meridian and Volkswagen Tiguan.
