2024 Kia Carnival Teased; Launch On October 3

Debuted at the Auto Expo in January 2023, the new-gen Kia Carnival is set to enter the Indian market on 3rd October 2024, and ahead of its arrival, the Korean carmaker has released the first teaser of the upcoming MPV. Interestingly, the teased model is the facelift version of the fourth-gen Carnival, which made its global debut last year in November 2023. Once launched, it will serve as a premium alternative to the Toyota Innova Hycross.

2024 Kia Carnival – What To Expect?

While the teaser doesn’t fully reveal the MPV’s design, it offers a sneak peel at the front & rear. The front features a prominent grille and vertically stacked headlamps with connected LED DRLs, while the rear sports connected LED tail lights setup. The teaser also confirms that the new Kia Carnival will feature individual sunroofs for both front & rear passengers.

Inside, the teaser shows the connected dual-screen layout, similar to its international version. While the carmaker is yet to reveal its full features list, it is expected to be loaded with the following set of comfort & convenience features: –

  • Heads-up display (HUD)
  • Digital key support
  • VIP lounge seats with the seven-seater configuration.
  • Slid flex second-row seats with eighter-seater configuration.
  • Wireless smart charging
  • Multi-Bluetooth connectivity
  • Wireless Apple Carplay and Android Auto compatibility
  • Connected car technology
  • Rear occupant alert
  • Optional 14.6-inch rear entertainment screen
  • Powered tailgate
  • Eight airbags
  • The ADAS suite, which should include active safety features such as lane-following assist, forward collision avoidance assistance, remote smart parking assist, adaptive cruise control, auto emergency braking, and blind-spot avoidance assist.

Expected Powertrain Options

Globally, Kia offers the new-gen Carnival with three engine options: 1.6-litre hybrid petrol, 2.2-litre diesel, and 3.5-litre petrol. However, its Indian-spec version is expected to be offered with only the 2.2-litre diesel engine paired with an automatic transmission.

2024 Kia Carnival Expected Price

We anticipate Kia India will price the new-gen Carnival at around Rs 35 lakh (ex-showroom).
