The facelifted Tata Nexon EV, now dubbed as “Nexon.ev”, has finally been launched in India at Rs 14.74 lakh (ex-showroom). This is the first major update for the electrified Nexon since its launch in 2020.

New Design
Similar to the ICE-powered Tata Nexon facelift, the Nexon.ev also receives meaningful design changes for a refreshing appeal. The notable styling changes on the exterior comprise: –
- New front facia, with closed-off grille and a width-spanning LED DRLs
- New split lighting setup
- Refreshed bumper design at both ends
- New aerodynamically styled 16-inch alloy wheels
- Connected LED taillight
- Redesigned tailgate section
The cabin also gets a new life, with a redesigned dashboard layout draped in a new colour scheme. It also receives a 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system, slimmer air-con vents, touch-enabled AC control panel, and Tata Curvv-inspired 2-spoke steering wheel with an illuminated logo.

Improved Drive Range
The Nexon.ev gets a new-generation electric motor, which is claimed to be 20kg lighter than before. The battery packs, however, remain the same – 30.2 kWh and 40.5 kWh, but their range has been improved by 12 kilometres.

Competitors
The Tata Nexon.ev locks horns with the Mahindra XUV400 EV. However, it can also be seen as an affordable alternative to the MG ZS EV and Hyundai Kona Electric.
