The all-new Royal Enfield Bullet is among the most anticipated launches of this year, which will take place on August 30, 2023. While there’s still a week left before its official arrival, its specifications and feature details have already been leaked online. Here are the details: –
- The new-generation Royal Enfield Bullet will be based on the brand’s latest J-series platform, housing a 349cc air-cooled, counterbalanced engine in its womb. This is the same engine that also powers the Hunter 350, Classic 350, and Meteor 350. It makes 20.4PS of max power at 6,100rpm and 27Nm of peak torque at 4,000rpm.
- Design-wise, it will retain its iconic silhouette and retro styling as the existing model. However, minor changes will be made to give it a fresh appeal. These will include new circular bulb-type tail lamps, revised switchgear, a better contoured single-piece seat for improved comfort and a new semi-digital instrument cluster, probably with an optional Tripper Navigation System.
- Reports suggest that the new Bullet will be offered in three variants, each offering the following features: –
Base Variant | Mid Variant | Top Variant |
– Front disc and rear drum brake – Single-channel ABS – Black components – Chrome engine – Graphics with decals | – Disc brakes at both ends – Dual-channel ABS – Body-coloured fuel tank – Body coloured components – Chrome & Gold 3D badging – Gold pinstriping – Chrome-finished engine & mirrors | – Disc brakes at both ends – Dual-channel ABS – Black matt & gloss combination tank – Coppa & gold 3D badging – Coppa pinstriping – Blacked-out engine & components |
- We anticipate Royal Enfield to price the new Bullet from around Rs 1.80 lakh (ex-showroom). Once launched, the bike will continue its competition with the Jawa.
In other news, Royal Enfield is also gearing up to launch the Himalayan 450 adventure motorcycle in November this year. Compared to the existing version of RE Himalayan, the new bike will receive significant design changes, new features and an all-new liquid-cooled engine.
