2023 Mercedes-AMG E53 4Matic+ Cabriolet Arrives In India

With a view to stepping up its performance game, Mercedes-AMG has launched the E53 4Matic+ Cabriolet on the Indian shores at a starting price of Rs 1.3 crore (ex-showroom), making it Rs 24 lakh more expensive than the E 53 sedan. It doesn’t have any direct rivals in the Indian market.

The Mercedes-AMG E 53 4Matic+ Cabriolet is a two-door, four-seat convertible car, powered by a 3.0-litre turbocharged petrol engine. It churns out a maximum power output of 435 HP and a peak torque of 520 Nm. Also included is a starter generator that generates an additional 22 HP and 250 Nm of torque. Moreover, it also comes equipped with AMG’s Ride Control+ air suspension and Dynamic Select driving modes for added driving flexibility.

In terms of performance, the latest AMG Cabriolet can hit the century sprint in just 4.6 seconds before attaining the electronically limited top speed of 250 kmph.

Design-wise, the all-new 2023 Mercedes-AMG E53 4Matic+ Cabriolet looks similar to the AMG E 53 sedan with the signature AMG ‘Panamericana grille’ and huge lower air intakes. The car’s sportiness is further enhanced by blackened-out 19-spoke alloy wheels, a large boot lid spoiler, a prominent diffuser, and quad exhaust outlets.
