- Similar to the ongoing model, the new Scorpio’s diesel iteration will also be available in two states of tune: 130PS and 160PS. While the former is likely to be restricted to the base-spec trims of the Scorpio-N, the latter will ignite the higher grades trims.
- Since the power figure of lower-spec trim (130PS) is similar to the Mahindra Thar, it could offer a peak torque of 300Nm.
- The 170PS peak power output of the 2.0-liter mStallion turbo-petrol engine will be standard across the lineup.
- Transmission options for the upcoming Mahindra Scorpio-N will include a 6-speed manual and 6-speed torque converter automatic units, paired with either a rear-wheel or four-wheel drivetrains. Yes, the 4×4 drivetrain option will be offered with both petrol and diesel powertrains.
The new Mahindra Scorpio-N will be sold alongside the existing version of Scorpio that will be renamed as Scorpio Classic and could receive some minor cosmetic enhancements. The Scorpio-N, on the other hand, will boast a completely new design and get a host of new features such as an electric sunroof, wireless charger, dual-zone climate control, connected car tech, roof-mounted speakers, multiple airbags, a 360-degree camera, and much more.
