Hyundai Motors is all set to launch the new-gen Tucson in India on 10th August 2022. Bookings for the SUV are already underway for a token amount of Rs 50,000 and it has grabbed over 3,000 reservations till now. The Korean carmaker will sell its long-wheelbase version in India through Hyundai’s Signature outlets, which currently retail the Alcazar Signature and i20 N Line.
The 2022 Hyundai Tucson will be offered in two broad trims: Platinum and Signature. Compared to its previous model, it has grown in size. It is based on the brand’s latest ‘Sensuous Sportiness’ design philosophy, featuring sharp cuts & creases all around. What’s more attention-grabbing is its parametric grille with seamlessly integrated hidden-type LED daytime running lamps.
Inside, the new Tucson gets a minimalistic designed dual-tone cabin, with key highlights including its uniquely designed air-con vents, two 10.25-inch displays (one for instrumentation and the other for infotainment), dual-zone climate control, a panoramic sunroof, a 360-degree camera, ventilated, heated & powered front seats with memory function for the driver seat, and a powered tailgate. It also gets multiple driving modes (Normal, Eco, Sport, Smart), terrain modes (Snow, Mud, Sand), and segment’s first Advanced Driver-Assistance Systems (ADAS), comprising adaptive cruise control, lane-keeping assist, rear cross-traffic alert, driver attention warning, lane following assist, high beam assist, rear cross-traffic alert & collision avoidance, etc.

Hyundai will be offering the Tucson with 2.0-liter diesel (186PS/416Nm) and 2.0-liter petrol (156PS/192Nm) engines, mated to a torque converter automatic transmission. It will also get an All-Wheel-Drive (AWD) system with select diesel variants.
Expect Hyundai to price the new Tucson SUV from around Rs 25 lakh (ex-showroom), placing it against the Jeep Compass, Volkswagen Tiguan, and Citroen C5 Aircross.
