Soon after spotting the facelifted XL6, its 7-seater counterpart, i.e., the Ertiga, has also been spied testing for the first time (partially camouflaged), revealing minor exterior cosmetic changes.
Going by the spy images, changes on the facelifted Ertiga is likely to be restricted to the new front grille, while the rest of the profile and styling elements are expected to be carried over from the ongoing model. Besides, the interior could also receive minor updates such as new upholstery, trims, and a few new features like wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, updated driver’s display, and probably more airbags for improved safety.
Under the hood, the updated Maruti Suzuki Ertiga could continue with the ongoing 1.5-liter petrol engine (105PS/138Nm) with the mild-hybrid technology, mated to either a 5-speed manual or a 4-speed torque converter automatic transmission. It also gets an optional factory-fitted CNG kit with select variants that is claimed to deliver a mileage of 26.08km/kg, whereas the gasoline mill has a claimed efficiency of 19.01kmpl with manual and 17.99kmpl with the automatic unit.
Expect the new Maruti Ertiga facelift to hit showrooms sometime next year with a slight price premium over its current price range of Rs 7.96 lakh to Rs 10.69 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi).
