Yamaha Aerox 155 Gets A New Metallic Black Colour

Yamaha India has introduced a new & stealthy Metallic Black colour for its performance-oriented Aerox 155 maxi-styled scooter at no extra cost. The new paint scheme covers all the trims in a gloss black shade with the side panels and front fender clothed in white-coloured to give a delightful contrast.

With the introduction of this new hue, the Yamaha Aerox 155 is now available in a total of four colour options, including the Metallic Black, Racing Blue, Vermillion Grey and the special edition Monster Energy Yamaha MotoGP Edition. While the model with any of these standard colours costs Rs 1.29 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi), the special MotoGP Edition demands Rs 1,500 more.

Launched in September 2021, the Yamaha Aerox 155 uses the Yamaha R15's 155cc single-cylinder liquid-cooled VVA-equipped engine (albeit in a detuned state), offering 15PS of maximum power and 13.9Nm of peak torque. It also gets an idle start-stop system for improved fuel economy, a smart motor generator that ensures silent starts, twin LED headlamps for solid illumination, a single-channel Antilock Braking System (ABS) and hazard lights for rider's safety, a mobile charging socket in the glove box (optional), a full LCD instrumentation cluster with Bluetooth connectivity, keyless operation, and a large 24.5-litre underseat storage space that is good enough to accommodate an XL size full-face helmet.

In the Indian market, the Aerox 155 competes with the recently updated Aprilia SR 160 that is currently priced at Rs 1,17,494 (ex-showroom). Though it is cheaper, the Aerox offers better performance and features.
