2022 Citroen C5 Aircross Facelift – What’s New?

This facelift update offers several visual enhancements inside and out, as well as minor changes to its features list.

For starters, the 2022 Citroen C5 Aircross receives a sharper & more premium-looking gloss black grille with the brand’s double chevron logo in the center. It also receives new LED headlamps with integrated DRLs, a tweaked bumper with a wider air dam, and a silver-colored skid plate. Things are largely untouched on the side and rear, except for the new 18-inch alloy wheels and updated elements for the LED taillights.

The facelifted SUV also gains a fresh Eclipse Blue color scheme, replacing the older Tijuca shade. Other color options for the C5 Aircross include Pearl White, Pearl Nera Black, and Cumulus Grey. All colors, except for the Peal Nera Black, can also be had with a black roof & ORVMs, and that too without any added cost.

Speaking of the cabin, the upgraded Citroen C5 Aircross gets a newly designed center console and a bigger free-floating 10-inch touchscreen infotainment system. It also receives a new switch-based gear selector, replacing the traditional gear lever. The other notable features of the SUV include a 12.3-inch digital driver’s display with three personalization modes, dual-zone climate control, wireless smartphone charger, in-built air purifier, three independent full-size rear seats, panoramic sunroof, drive modes (Eco and Sport), traction control modes (Standard, Snow, All Terrain), 6 airbags, ESP, hill start/descent control, blind spot information, front & rear parking sensors, coffee brake alert, and parking assist.

Powering the Citroen C5 Aircross facelift is the same 2.0-litre diesel engine as before that produces 177PS and 400Nm. It comes mated to an 8-speed automatic transmission and gets two drive modes (Eco and Sport) and three traction control modes (standard, snow, all-terrain).

New Citroen C5 Aircross

In the premium mid-size SUV segment, the C5 Aircross locks horns with the Volkswagen Tiguan, Jeep Compass, and the recently upgraded Hyundai Tucson.
