2021 Tata Tigor EV – Variant-wise Pricing and Features
1. Tata Tigor EV XE
Price: – Rs 11.99 lakh (ex-showroom)
Features: –
Exterior: – Conventional halogen headlamps, LED tail lamps, blue accents on the grille, body-colored bumper, blue accents, 14-inch steel wheels.
Interior: – Dual-tone light grey & black cabin theme, fabric seats, blue accents around AC vents, flat-bottom steering wheel.
Comfort & Convenience: – Automatic AC, height-adjustable driver's seat, front power windows, tilt adjustment function for the steering wheel, 12V front power socket.
Instrument & Infotainment System: – Digital instrument cluster.
Safety: – Dual-front airbags, ABS with EBD, reverse parking sensors, speed alert system, driver & co-driver set belt reminder, door ajar warning, key-in warning, child safety rear door locks, seat belt pretensioners + load limiters & crash-locking tongue.
Verdict: – Despite being a base-spec trim, it gets convenience features like automatic AC and height-adjustable driver seat, which is a good thing. The auto climate control will help you to keep your drive range in check. However, it misses out on basics features such as rear power windows and an audio system. If you can stretch your budget, we would recommend you skip this variant.
2. Tata Tigor EV XM
Price: – Rs 12.49 lakh (ex-showroom)
Features (over XE variant): –
Exterior: – Full wheel covers.
Interior: – Theatre dimming effect for cabin lamp.
Comfort & Convenience: – Flip key, all four power windows, USB charging port at the front.
Instrument & Infotainment System: – 2-din Harman audio system with Bluetooth FM, USB, I-pod connectivity, 4-speakers.
Safety: – Speed-sensing auto door locks and reverse park assist (sensors with display).
Verdict: – The mid-spec Tigor EV commands a premium of around Rs 50,000 over the XE trim, which is a tad high for the extra set of equipment it gets over the base trim. In our opinion, this should have been the base variant as it covers all the basic aspects prominently.

2. Tata Tigor EV XZ+
Price: – Rs 12.99 lakh (+15,000 extra for piano-black roof)
Features (over XM variant): –
Exterior: – Dual-tone paint option, projector headlamps, turn indicators on ORVMs, LED Daytime Running Lamps (DRLs), front fog lamps, Hyperstyle wheels, chrome-finished window line.
Interior: – Premium knitted roof liner.
Comfort & Convenience: – Follow-me-home headlamps, Smart keyless entry with push-button start (PEPS), foldable rear armrest with cup holders, 12V rear power socket, one touch-down driver's side window, cooled glovebox, electrically adjustable ORVMs with auto-fold function, electric tailgate release, steering mounted control, and iRA connected car technology with 35 features.
Instrument & Infotainment System: – 7-inch Harman touchscreen infotainment system, Apple Carplay, and Android Auto, 4 tweeters, incoming SMS notifications & read-outs, call reject with SMS feature,
Safety: – Rear defogger and reversing camera with adaptive guidelines.
Verdict: – Unlike the XM variant, the XZ+ gets lots of extra goodies for the premium of Rs 50,000 that makes it the most value-for-money variant. But despite being the top trim of the Tigor EV, it lacks features rear AC vents, a front central armrest, adjustable headrests for rear seats, and most importantly, the cruise control, which could have helped in getting a decent range on the highways.
