2021 Hyundai i20 N Line Launched; Prices Start From Rs 9.84 Lakh

The first N Line model for the Indian market, the i20 N Line, has finally been launched at an introductory starting price of Rs 9.84 lakh (ex-showroom). The brand has offered the hot-hatch in two trims – N6 and N8. Let's take a look at the detailed pricing: –

The i20 N Line is up to Rs 50,000 more expensive than its corresponding standard i20 variants. For this added premium, it gets some sportier cosmetic bits inside & out, followed by a stiffer suspension setup, a sporty exhaust note, and all four-disc brakes.

Starting with the exterior, the i20 N Line gets a chequered flag-inspired grille, a beefier front bumper with new fog lamp housing and slip spoiler, N-branded alloy wheels, twin exhausts tips, and ‘N Line’ logos & red color accent all around the car. The red highlights continue inside the cabin as well, creating a delightful contrast with the all-black dashboard and seats. While it has the same cabin layout as the regular Turbo model, it gets a few distinguished design elements like a new 3-spoke N-branded steering wheel, N-branded gear lever, chequered flag-themed black upholstery with red stitching, and red ambient lighting.

Features onboard include a 10.25-inch infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, Blue Link connected car tech, Bose sound system with subwoofer, a single-pane sunroof, a wireless phone charger, digital driver display, cruise control, auto-dimming IRVM (new), up to six airbags, ABS with EBD, electronic stability control, tire pressure monitoring system, all-four-disc brakes (new), and rear parking sensors with camera. 

Hyundai is also offering up to 31 accessories for the sporty hatchback.

Hyundai i20 N Line is offered in four monotone color schemes, namely, Thunder Blue (new), Fiery Red, Polar White, and Titan Grey. The first two shades are also available with the Phantom Black roof choice for an extra Rs 15,000.

 

The i20 N Line is powered by the same 1.0-liter turbo-petrol engine as the regular turbo variants of the hatchback that makes out 120PS of maximum power and 172Nm of peak torque. Available with either a 6-speed iMT (clutchless manual) or a 7-speed DCT (dual-clutch transmission), Hyundai has claimed to alter the engine tune and characteristics. With this, it can sprint from 0 to 100kmpn in 9.9 seconds. Besides, Hyundai has also improved the steering feedback and stiffened its suspension setup by 30 percent for better handling & stability. Adding to the overall fun quotient is its raspy exhaust note.

The ARAI-claimed mileage figures for i20 N Line are 20.25kmpl with DCT and 20kmpl with iMT.
