2021 Audi A4 Facelift Booking Open Ahead Of Its Launch

German automobile manufacturer Audi has officially started accepting advance-bookings for the facelift version of the A4 luxury sedan in India, which is set to launch in January 2021. Interested customers can do the bookings from Audi’s official website or at any authorized dealerships for a token amount of Rs 2 lakh. The brand will also offer an additional 4-year comprehensive service package on all pre-launch bookings.

About 2021 Audi A4 Facelift Sedan

The updated Audi A4 will come with some minor cosmetic changes, a few extra features, and a new petrol engine. On the design front, it has undergone subtle changes, which mainly includes a redesigned, bigger & sharper front grille, flanked by new LED headlights with integrated LED daytime running lamps (DRLs). The side profile of the car is largely unchanged except for the noticeable shoulder line & a new set of alloy wheels. On the rear, it features refresh LED tail lamps that are connected by a chrome strip.

Inside, things are considerably similar to the previous model. However, for a change, it gets Audi’s latest MMI touchscreen infotainment system with connected car technology. Other prominent features of the upgraded A4 sedan includes a Bang and Olufsen sound system, tri-zone climate control, rear AC vents, a digital instrument cluster, an electric sunroof, cruise control, electrically adjustable front seats, ambient lightings, multiple airbags, ABS with EBD, electronic stability control (ESC), front and rear parking sensors, and a tyre pressure monitor system, etc. 

Powertrain

The new Audi A4 will get a new 2.0-litre turbocharged petrol engine, replacing the previous 1.4-litre turbo-petrol unit that used to deliver 150PS of maximum power. The new engine produces 40PS more grunt than the older 1.4-litre unit. The power will be transferred to the front wheels of the car via a 7-speed S-Tronic automatic transmission. With this new powertrain, Audi claims a 0-100kmph sprint time is just 7.3 seconds.

Variants & Expected Pricing

The new Audi A4 facelift is likely to be offered in two variants: Premium Plus and Technology. Its pricing is expected to start from around Rs 40 lakh (ex-showroom). Once launched, it will fight against the likes of Mercedes-Benz C-Class, Jaguar XE, and BMW 3 Series.
