Following the launch of the 2022 Yamaha MT-15 Version 2.0 in India, the Japanese bikemaker now took the opportunity to introduce the World GP 60th Anniversary Edition of its YZF R15M supersport motorcycle. Priced at Rs 1,88,300 (ex-showroom Delhi), the Yamaha R15M World GP Anniversary Edition comes with MotoGP spec YZR-M1 inspired livery. It is Rs 3,000 more expensive than the standard Yamaha YZF-R15M (Metallic Grey) model.

Yamaha YZF R15M World GP 60th Anniversary Edition – What’s Special?
The YZF R15M World GP 60th Anniversary Edition offers a tribute to Yamaha’s devotion to racing and celebrates the 500+ World Grand Prix wins that the bikemaker has achieved since 1961. And so, it comes wrapped in an iconic white and red ‘speed block’ color scheme with golden alloy wheels, Yamaha factory race-bike gold tuning fork emblems, black levers, and special commemorative badging on the fuel tank, providing it a neat, pleasing and sporty appeal.

Apart from the above-mentioned aesthetic enhancements, the bike remains unchanged. That means it will continue to be propelled by the same 155cc, liquid-cooled, SOHC, 4-valve engine with Variable Valve Actuation (VVA) delivering 18.4PS at 10,000rpm and 14.2 Nm at 7,500rpm. It comes mated to a 6-speed gearbox with a slip & assist clutch. It also gets a traction control system and a quickshifter for smooth clutchless upshifts.
The other notable traits of the bike comprise a golden Upside-Down (USD) front fork, linked-type monocross rear suspension, bypass type thermostat cooling system, dual-channel Antilock Braking System (ABS), and Bluetooth enabled LCD instrument cluster with SMS/call alert, gear shift indicator, track & street mode.
