Interior images of Maruti Suzuki’s upcoming Creta-rivaling SUV (codenamed YFG) and its Toyota equivalent, the Hyryder have surfaced for the first time on the web. The Japanese carmaker will unveil the SUV in July 2022, followed by the Indo-Japanese brand.
Toyota Hyryder/Maruti YFG Interior – What do the spy images reveal?
Though the interior was heavily camouflaged, it revealed some key elements and features of the upcoming SUV. That said, it will get a huge floating touchscreen infotainment system with the central air-con vents placed just below it. The 3-spoke steering wheel seems to be borrowed from Maruti Suzuki Swift. There’s also the ‘HUD’ switch below the engine/start button, confirming the presence of a head-up display.

Keen eyes would also notice a green light in the instrument console that could possibly be related to its eco-friendly/electric nature. For those who aren’t aware, both the Toyota Hyryder/Maruti YFG are expected to get a 1.5-liter petrol engine, paired with mild and self-charging strong hybrid options. While the mild-hybrid system will be capable of providing torque assist in certain conditions, the strong hybrid mill is likely to run the SUV in the mix and pure electric mode as well. It is likely to offer a fuel economy of over 26.32kmpl.
Expect more details about the upcoming SUVs to be revealed in near future. Once launched, they will go up against the Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, MG Astor, Volkswagen Taigun, and Skoda Kushaq.
