Skoda Kushaq Crosses 2000 Bookings Mark; Ambition Variant Most In Demand

Launched on 28th June, the Skoda Kushaq has received over 2,000 bookings so far. Though it's production was kicked off a few weeks before the launch, deliveries of the 1.0-liter variants of the compact SUV will begin from 12th July, helping the Czech carmaker keep waiting periods in check. However, buyers of the 1.5-liter TSI variants will have to wait till August to get their hands on their cars.

Skoda is also providing customers an estimated delivery date (ETA) when they book their preferred variant of the Kushaq SUV. The ETA is calculated based on stock available with dealers, units in transition, order backlog, and production plans for the upcoming 12 weeks.

A recent report of Autocar India claims that Kushaq's 1.0-litre petrol-automatic Ambition variant is the most in-demand, accounting for approximately 40% of total 1.0-litre variants bookings. The ‘Carbon-Steel’ exterior body shade of the Kushaq is the most fancied by buyers, followed by white and orange. Some dealers claim that its competitive pricing and value for money packaging drawing customers to the 1.0 TSI variants. Some dealers have also claimed that all variants have received fair interest from buyers, including the 1.5 TSI, whose test drives are yet to begin. Dealers are claiming that about 25% of orders are for the bigger capacity engine, and they presume this percentage to rise once test drives commence.
