Mahindra Bolero Neo Expected To Launch On 15th July

Mahindra TUV300 is all set to return in a facelifted avatar with a new name Bolero Neo. The SUV has already started reaching dealerships across the country. While the brand hasn't shared its launch date, rumors are suggesting that the carmaker could announce the prices on July 15.

Mahindra Bolero Neo launch date

The Bolero Neo will be positioned above the standard Bolero in Mahindra's line-up. It is likely to be offered in three variants – N4, N8, and N10. Compared to the older model, which was temporarily discontinued last year during the BS6 transition phase, the SUV has received some cosmetic changes both on the inside and outside, along with a new set of features.

Revealed by the recently teased videos, the new Bolero Neo will feature a distinct 6-slat chrome front grille, restyled headlamps with horizontal LED daytime running lamps, redesigned bumpers, reworked fog lamps, newly designed silver finished alloy wheels with squared wheel arches, and more. It will continue to get the tailgate-mounted spare wheel; however, it could drop the roof rails.

Inside the cabin, it will feature a new beige color upholstery, a second-row armrest, and an analogue instrument cluster with colored MID, borrowed from the Mahindra Thar. It could also get automatic climate control and an updated 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay smartphone connectivity.

The Mahindra Bolero Neo is expected to be powered by the same 1.5-liter, 3-cylinder mHawk100 diesel engine (100PS/240Nm) as the pre-facelift TUV300. The motor will unquestionably be BS6-compliant and will get a 5-speed manual transmission as standard. Select variants could also get an optional AMT transmission for added convenience.

Since it will be a body-on-frame rear-wheel-drive (RWD) SUV, it will not face any direct competition in the Indian market. However, as per its expected price range (between Rs 8 lakh to Rs 12 lakh), it will be positioned against the sub-4-meter monocoque SUVs like Maruti Vitara Brezza, Hyundai Venue, Kia Sonet, Toyota Urban Cruiser, Mahindra XUV300, Tata Nexon, Nissan Magnite, Renault Kiger, and the upcoming Citroen C3.
