Skoda Kushaq has finally entered into the 5-seater compact SUV segment at prices ranging from Rs 10.49 lakh to Rs 17.59 lakh (ex-showroom). Available in three trims (Active, Ambition, and Style), the Czech automaker has offered it with two engines and three gearbox choices. Before we head to the variant-wise pricing & feature details, here’s a look at its engine specifications first: –

Skoda Kushaq – Color options

Skoda Kushaq is available in five exterior hues: Candy White, Brilliant Silver, Carbon Steel, Honey Orange, and Tornado Red, wherein the Honey Orange and Tornado Red are exclusively for the Indian market.

Skoda Kushaq – Variant-wise pricing & features

1. Skoda Kushaq Active

Features: –

Conclusion – The base variant of the Kushaq is decently equipped. If you are tight on your budget and truly desire the new Kushaq, the Active variant will be good for you. However, if you can push your budget to some extent, we suggest you look for the next variant.

2. Skoda Kushaq Ambition

Features (over Active variant): –

• Comfort & Convenience: – Cruise control, automatic climate control with rear AC vents, electrically foldable ORVMs, ambient lighting, 60:40 foldable rear seats, rear center armrest with cup holders, height-adjustable driver’s seat, paddle shifters (automatic variant only), one-touch driver side window with anti-pinch function, dead pedal for footrest, 2 type-C USB ports in front and 2 in the rear, cooled glove box, rear parcel shelf,

Conclusion – Compared to the entry-level Active variant, this trim is approximately Rs 2.3 lakh more expensive. And the premium is totally justified. Also, if you are looking for a 1.0-liter petrol-automatic variant, this variant is the base model and it’s beautifully loaded for that.

3. Skoda Kushaq Style

Features (over Style variant): – 

• Exterior: – 17-inch alloy wheels, chrome finishing on door handles and front bumper air intake, glossy black cover on B-&-C-pillars, window chrome garnishing, truck chrome garnishing, crystalline full LED tail lamps.
• Interior: – Chrome dashboard line, chrome inserts on the gear knob and handbrake handle button, leather upholstery.

• Comfort & Convenience: – Auto headlamps with coming/leaving home function, rain-sensing wipers, auto-dimming IRVM, keyless entry with engine start/stop button, ventilated front seats, electric sunroof, wireless mobile charging pad.
• Infotainment: – High-performance 6-speakers premium sound system with subwoofer.
• Safety: – Side & curtain airbags (manual variant only), tire pressure monitoring system (manual variant only), anti-theft alarm.

Conclusion – The top-end Style variant is the only model in Kushaq’s line-up that comes with a more powerful 1.5-liter engine with an optional dual-clutch automatic gearbox to quench the thirst of enthusiastic buyers. It will also indulge you with leatherette upholstery in the cabin and several premium features. However, it is disappointing to see that Skoda has offered additional airbags only with the manual-gearbox-equipped variants.
