Lamborghini Hits New Sales Milestone In India; Record 86 Percent YoY Growth

Performance carmaker Lamborghini has announced that it has recorded 400 units sales milestone in India in 2021, witnessing an 86 percent growth over the last year. To monumentalize the event, the Italian carmaker organized its third ‘Lamborghini Day’ experience for Indian customers in Goa where supercar owners drove across the state’s scenic roadways. 

Commenting on this occasion, Sharad Agarwal, Head of Lamborghini India said –“We are pleased to announce the achievement of 400 Lamborghinis in India and mark the Lamborghini Day experience with this milestone achievement along with our customers who have supported us in this journey. We will continue to offer unique platforms so that our existing and prospective customers are able to experience the values that define the Lamborghini brand in India.”

While model-wise sales figures are yet to be revealed, the Urus SUV is one of the highest-selling Lamborghini cars in India. Currently, it is priced between Rs 3.15 – 3.43 crores (ex-showroom). Powering the Urus is a 4.0-liter, twin-turbo petrol engine that produces a whopping power output of 641PS, along with 850Nm of pinnacle torque. This huge twisting force is transmitted to all four wheels via an 8-speed automatic transmission. The SUV claims a 0-100 kmph sprint in just 3.6 seconds.

Besides the Urus, Lamborghini also offers Huracan EVO and Aventador in India, of course via the CBU route. While the former ranges from Rs 3.21 crores to Rs 4.99 crores, the latter costs Rs 6.25 crore (all prices, ex-showroom). The brand is expected to unveil the Urus facelift in August this year.
