  • Kia has hiked the prices of the Carens by up to Rs 70,000. The top-spec 1.5 Luxury Plus diesel variant will lighten your wallet the most.
  • The Premium 1.4 and Prestige Plus 1.4 DCT trims are the least affected by the price hike.
  • The price hike doesn’t attract any changes to the MPV. It will continue to get three engine options: 115PS/144Nm 1.5-liter petrol with a 6-speed manual, 140PS/242Nm 1.4-litre turbocharged petrol with 6-speed manual and 7-speed DCT, and 115PS/250Nm 1.5-litre diesel with 6-speed manual and 6-speed torque converter automatic transmission options.
  • Features onboard include an LED lighting system, alloy wheels, a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, connected car tech, 64-color ambient lighting, in-built air purifier, wireless smartphone charger, auto AC, roof-mounted rear AC vents, ventilated front seats, a single-pane sunroof, etc. Passenger safety, on the other hand, is taken care of by six airbags, ABS with EBD, all-four disc brakes, ISOFIX child seat mounts, electronic stability control, and tire pressure monitoring.
  • In the Indian market, the Kia Carens goes up against the Maruti Suzuki Ertiga/XL, Mahindra Marazzo, and Hyundai Alcazar.
