5-Door Mahindra Thar To Get Sunroof; New Spy Images Leaked

The 5-door Mahindra Thar has been undergoing extensive testing for quite some time now, and its latest spy images reveal some intriguing details about the upcoming SUV.

Electric Sunroof Confirmed

  • Following the recent spy shots, the 5-door Mahindra Thar will receive a single-pane electric sunroof.
  • This also implies that it will get a fixed-type metal hard-top roof.
  • In an unusual placement, the sunroof appears to be positioned between the front and second rows, contrasting with the conventional placement.
  • It is also reportedly fitted with LED fog lamps, suggesting that the production-spec version might get a full LED lighting system.
  • Earlier spy images have also hinted at the presence of C-pillar-mounted door handles for the rear.
  • Although the car’s interior is yet to be seen, it is anticipated to retain similarities with the 3-door model while incorporating new features such as a larger touchscreen infotainment system with connected car technology and auto climate control.
  • To ensure passengers’ safety, the SUV is expected to offer a range of features including up to 6 airbags, traction control, ESC, and more.
