2023 KTM Duke 200 Launched; Receives New LED Headlamp

  • The next generation of KTMs is slated to be launched next year, but the Austrian bikemaker has chosen to enhance the appeal for buyers in 2023 by introducing a minor update to the 200 Duke.
  • The Streetfighter now comes with an LED headlamp setup instead of the older halogen unit.
  • The upgraded KTM 200 Duke now costs Rs 1.96 lakh (ex-showroom), commanding a premium of Rs 3,155 over the previous model.
  • Apart from the new headlamp setup, this entry-level Austrian streetfighter bike remains unchanged. It continues to be powered by the same 199.5cc, liquid-cooled, FI engine that makes 25PS and 19.3Nm, making it the most powerful bike in its class.

Underpinnings

  • Built on the ultralight tubular trellis frame, the KTM 200 Duke features an upside-down fork in combination with a rear monoshock suspension.
  • The bike rolls on 17-inch alloy wheels, equipped with a 320mm front disc brake paired with a 230mm unit at the rear.

  • In the 200cc segment, the KTM 200 Duke faces competition from the less-expensive TVS Apache RTR 200 4V, Bajaj Pulsar NS200, and Honda Hornet 2.0.
