2020 Hyundai i20 – Design
The new i20 follows Hyundai's latest Sensuous Sportiness design language. It looks quite sporty than the previous generation Elite i20 thanks to the vital renovations both inside and outside. It features a new single-piece large cascading grille finished in glossy black theme, redesigned bumpers, and sleek sweptback LED projector headlamps, which also integrates the LED daytime running lamps (DRLs).
The design of the front bumper is quite sharp, which complements the tapered ridges and bulges on the hood and aggressively styled side profile. The front bumper also comprises triangular housing for the LED fog lamps.
Some of the other notable differences in the new i20 include newly designed 16-inch machine-cut dual-tone alloy wheels, two sharp creases on the side profile, black treatment on the tailgate, roof-integrated spoiler, and aggressively designed "Z' shaped LED tail lamps that are connected by a chrome strip running along the width of the boot lid.
All-New Hyundai i20 – Interior & Features
The interior of the new i20 highlights a minimalist design theme. Like the exterior, its dashboard layout is similar to the European spec-model, which features Audi like faux air-con vents, and a floating touchscreen infotainment system, which integrates into the instrument cluster housing, just like the Hyundai Aura.
The all-new i20 is the most feature-loaded car in the segment. It offers many segment-first features like a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system (largest in class), 7-speaker bose premium sound system, oxy boost air purifier, wireless charging pad with the cooling feature, connected car technology with 50 features like remote engine start, remote climate control, geofencing, vehicle tracking, and OTA map updates, etc.
The other notable features include all-LED lighting, 16-inch dual-tone alloy wheels, push-button start/stop with keyless entry, electric sunroof, blue color ambient lighting, semi-digital instrument cluster, electrically adjustable ORVMs with auto-fold & puddle lamp, height-adjustable driver seat, rear wiper & washer, rear defogger, and manually adjustable IRVM. Safety will be taken care of by six airbags, rear parking sensors, a rear parking camera, and a hill start assist function which is a segment-first feature. It offers 311-liters of boot space.
