Yamaha FZ25 And FZS 25 Prices Slashed By Rs 19,300

Yamaha India has just revised the prices of FZ 25 and FZS 25, making them more affordable than before. The standard Yamaha FZ 25 is now priced at Rs 1,34,800, while the FZS 25 now costs Rs 1,39,300 (both prices ex-showroom, Delhi). Yamaha has achieved this by lowering the input cost of the two models.

Here's how much both motorcycles have become affordable: –

As the above table indicates, the FZ 25 is now more affordable by Rs 18,800, while its top-spec S variant has received a price cut of Rs 19,300. With this, the FZ 25 series continues to remain the most affordable 250cc bikes of the segment, undercutting the Suzuki Gixxer 250 (Rs 1.67 lakh) and Bajaj Dominar 250 (Rs 1.70 lakh) by a huge margin.

Yamaha also stated that irrespective of the price reduction, the FZ 25 series will retain all its standard features and specifications. That said, the FZ 25 series will continue to get goodies like a full LED headlamp, LED DRLs, an underbelly cowl, LCD instrument cluster, dual disc with Antilock Braking System (ABS), etc. Besides, the S variant also gets some extra features like a taller visor for better wind deflection, knuckle guards, and funky gold-painted wheels.

Powering the FZ 25 series is the BS6-compliant 249cc, air-cooled, single-cylinder engine that belts out 20.8PS at 8,000rpm and 20.1Nm at 6,000rpm, mated to a 5-speed transmission.

We believe this prices reduction move will surely help the Japanese manufacturer to gain more sales numbers. As of now, the Yamaha FZ 25 is the least popular motorcycle in its segment. It has registered only 182 takers in the month of April 2021.

In the other news, Yamaha is also gearing up to launch an adventurer version of the FZ-S V3.0 naked motorcycle. Click here for more details.
