A few weeks ago, Volvo India launched the single-motor 2WD variant of the XC40 Recharge electric SUV named “Plus” Now, the Swedish carmaker has finally commenced its bookings for a token amount of Rs 1 lakh. The EV is priced at Rs 54.95 lakh (ex-showroom).
Powering the 2WD singe-motor Volvo XC40 Recharge Plus variant is a 69 kWH battery pack that offers a WLTP-claimed range of 475 kilometres on a full charge. It delivers 238PS of maximum power and 420Nm of peak torque. Compared to the AWD dual-motor variant, it is 170PS and 240Nm less. Here’s a look at their specifications for more deeper insight: –

Design-wise, both the 2WD and AWD variants look the same. However, features like Pixel LED headlamps, fog lamps, Harman Kardon sound system, and a 360-degree camera are restricted to the top-spec AWD Ultimate variant only.
