Volvo XC40 Recharge and XC60 Offered With Discount of Rs 6.95 Lakh

To take most of the festive season, Swedish automaker Volvo is providing a cash discount of Rs 6.95 lakh on the XC60 and Rs 1.78 lakh on the XC40 Recharge as part of its “Festive Delight” campaign. Customers opting for the electric SUV can also get the 3-year complimentary service and warranty package.

For those who aren’t aware, the Volvo XC60 is the brand’s premium 5-seater SUV that comes in a sole B5 Ultimate variant, priced at Rs 67.50 lakh (ex-showroom). It houses a 2-litre, 4-cylinder, turbocharged petrol engine with a 48V mild-hybrid system, delivering 250PS of max power and 350Nm of peak torque.

Regarding features, the XC60 comes equipped with a panoramic sunroof, an Android infotainment system, a wireless smartphone charger, a heads-up display, a 360-degree surround view system, multiple airbags, hill start assist, adaptive cruise control, lane keep assist, collision warning and mitigation support.

Speaking of the Volvo XC40 Recharge, it is essentially an electric version of the ICE-powered XC40 SUV, priced at Rs 56.90 lakh (ex-showroom). It gets a 78kWh battery pack, paired with an all-wheel-drive dual-motor setup, delivering a combined output of 408PS and 660Nm. It claims a WLTP range of 418 kilometres on a single charge.

In the Indian market, the XC40 Recharge takes on the likes of Kia EV6, Hyundai Ioniq 5 and BMW i4, whereas the XC60 goes up against the Audi Q5, BMW X3, Lexus NX and Mercedes-Benz GLC.
