Lotus Begins Its India Journey With Eletre SUV At Rs 2.55 Crore

British automotive sportscar brand Lotus has finally commenced its India journey with a high-performance Eletre SUV, priced at Rs 2.55 crore (ex-showroom), making it India’s most expensive electric SUV on sale.

Delhi-based Exclusive Motors will serve as the distributor for the Lotus cars nationwide. Exclusive Motors is also a retailer of Bentley cars in India. The company will open its first showroom in the country in early 2024, and more showrooms will be opened nationwide in subsequent years.

Lotus Eletre SUV – Exterior Design

Measuring over 5 meters in length, the Lotus Eletre SUV boasts a futuristic design, with a cab-forward stance and short overhangs. It features a sharp design upfront, dominated by the active front grille that directs the air under the leading edge. The other notable equipment on its exterior includes: –

  • 22-inch, 10-spoke diamond-forged alloy wheels
  • Fixed gloss black aluminium roof
  • Auto-dimming side mirrors (limited to Eletre S and Eletre R)

  • Carbon-fibre, 3-stage deployable, split-type roof-mounted spoiler

Lotus Eletre – Interior and Features

Offered in a 5-seat configuration, the Eletre SUV features a tech-forward design, highlighted by a 15.1-inch landscape-oriented OLED touchscreen infotainment system taking centre stage. Notably, it can be folded flat when not in use.

Crafted from sustainable materials, the dashboard mirrors the design of the split spoiler at the rear, complemented by a light running the entire width of the dash. There’s also a 30mm strip on either side of the dashboard that displays key information. The other notable inclusions are –
