Volkswagen Virtus, Taigun Now Get Six Airbags As Standard

The Volkswagen Taigun and Virtus are now offered with six airbags as the standard safety equipment across all variants. This upgrade further enhances the safety of these German offerings, which have already received 5-star safety ratings by the Global NCAP.

Aside from the six airbags, the standard safety kit of the Volkswagen Virtus and Taigun also includes rear parking sensors, tyre pressure deflating warning, multi-collision brakes, electronic stability control, ABS with EBD, brake assist, ISOFIX child seat anchors, and more.

Volkswagen Virtus, Taigun safety fatures

Volkswagen offers both the Virtus and Taigun with two turbo-petrol engine options. Here’s a look at their specifications: –

The 1.5-litre engine also features Active Cylinder Technology (ACT), which shuts off two of the four cylinders in low load conditions, enhancing fuel efficiency.

The Volkswagen Virtus rivals the Skoda Slavia, Honda City, Hyundai Verna, and Maruti Ciaz, whereas the Taigun takes on the likes of the Skoda Kushaq, Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, Toyota Hyryder, Maruti Grand Vitara, Honda Elevate, and Citroen C3 Aircross.
