Volkswagen India has announced a price hike across its entire product range that comprises the Virtus sedan, Taigun SUV, and Tiguan mid-size premium SUV. The German automaker has mentioned rising input costs as the prime reason for the price jump.

The quantum of the price hike for the Volkswagen Virtus ranges between Rs 10,000 to Rs 50,000. The GT Plus trim is the most affected by the price hike move. With this, the Volkswagen Virtus now ranges between Rs 11.32 lakh to Rs 18.42 lakh (ex-showroom).

In a very interesting move, Volkswagen has eased the prices of Taigun’s First Anniversary Edition by Rs 30,000. However, all the regular variants have received a price jump of up to Rs 26,000.
