Volkswagen Taigun Trail Edition has finally gone on sale at Rs 16.30 lakh (ex-showroom). It is part of the Taigun’s ‘GT Edge Limited Collection.’ Interested customers can book it online, with deliveries slated to commence during the festive season.
Volkswagen Taigun GT Trail Edition – What’s Special?
The all-new Taigun Trail Edition is derived from the SUV’s GT variant. While priced similarly to its donor variant, it features several cosmetic enhancements and added features to impart a subtle rugged appeal. These include: –
- All-black grille with chrome strips at the top and bottom
- Blacked-out treatment for the alloy wheels, ORVMs and roof
- A functional roof rack
- Body decals on the rear doors and fenders
- “Trail” badging on the tailgate
- Black upholstery inside the cabin with “Trail” lettering and red piping
- Metal pedals
- Puddle lamps (projects VW logo)
- A dual dash camera setup with a built-in LCD display
The other notable features of this SUV include a 10-inch touchscreen infotainment, wireless Android Auto and Apple Carplay, cruise control, ambient lighting, automatic climate control, rear AC vents, steering mounted controls, dual front airbags, electronic stability control, hill-hold assist, tyre pressure monitoring system, and reverse parking sensors with camera.

Volkswagen offers the Taigun Trail Edition in three body shades: Reflex Silver, Carbon Steel Grey and Candy White.
Engine Options
VW provides the Taigun Trail Edition with a 1.5-litre turbocharged petrol engine (150PS/250Nm), mated to a 6-speed manual gearbox.
