Volkswagen Taigun Interior Revealed

German auto giant Volkswagen had unveiled the Creta rivaling Taigun compact-SUV some days ago but that time the brand had kept the interior under wraps. Now, VW has finally opened the doors for the public and we got our first glimpse of Taigun’s interior via a digitally rendered image. And, it is interesting to know that the production-spec Taigun retains most of the elements from the concept model showcased at the 2020 Auto Expo.

Volkswagen Taigun features

The interior of the upcoming VW Taigun looks simple & neat yet modern, and it borrows a few elements from its sibling Skoda Kushaq such as a 10.1-inch touchscreen infotainment system (dashboard integrated instead of a floating unit), touch-based climate control panel, and the gear lever. However, it also features a digital instrumentation cluster, which is missing in Kushaq. Further, the steering wheel in Taigun is a three-spoke unit somewhat similar to VW's ID electric cars featuring the new brand logo, whereas the Kushaq gets a two-spoke steering wheel. While the above image displays the interior finished in a dual-tone dark-&-light grey scheme, a couple of color combinations are also likely to be on offer as well. Similar to its concept version, these color combinations could be based on SUV’s outer paint choices.

In terms of features, the Volkswagen Taigun will get a host of premium goodies such as Apple carplay and Android Auto connectivity, connected car technology, electric sunroof, a wireless phone charger, ventilated seats, auto climate control with rear AC vents, keyless entry with push-button start, and cruise control, etc. Safety features will include six airbags, ABS with EBD, ISOFIX anchorages for child seats, Electronic Stability Program (ESP), traction control, parking sensors with a rear-view camera.
