Volkswagen Taigun First Anniversary Edition Launched

  • Volkswagen Taigun is marking one year in the Indian market with a special anniversary edition.
  • Gets 11 specially developed elements that enhance SUV’s overall appeal.
  • Also receives a new ‘Rising Blue’ color.

The Volkswagen Taigun is about to complete a year in the Indian automotive space and to celebrate this occasion, the carmaker has launched its First Anniversary Edition.

The Volkswagen Taigun First Anniversary Edition is based on the 1.0-liter Topline variant. The differences are cosmetic only. That said, it gets high lux fog lamps, body-colored door garnish, black C-pillars, black roof foil, door-edge protectors, black ORVM housings, and window visors, along with aluminium pedals over the regular model. It also features “1st” anniversary badging across the exterior and interior of the SUV.

And since the Taigun First Anniversary Edition is based on the Topline variant, it also gets features like 17-inch Cassino alloy wheels, LED headlamps with DRLs, electric sunroof, virtual driver’s display, auto AC, ventilated front seats, touchscreen infotainment with wireless Apple Carplay and Android Auto, wireless charger, paddle shifter, tyre pressure monitoring system, ESC, reversing camera, multi-collision brakes, 6 airbags, and much more.

Volkswagen Taigun Anniversary Edition

The special edition mid-size SUV will be available in a new vibrant shade of Rising Blue, along with Curcuma Yellow and Wild Cherry Red color schemes.

It is powered by the SUV’s 1.0-litre, 3-cylinder, TSI turbo-petrol engine (113PS/178Nm) that comes mated to either a 6-speed manual or a 6-speed torque converter automatic transmission. Thanks to the idle start/stop system, it is claimed to deliver a fuel efficiency of 19.20 kmpl with manual and 17.23 kmpl with automatic transmission.
