Volkswagen Taigun Clocked 18,000 Bookings So Far; Waiting Period Ranging Around 2 Months

The Volkswagen Taigun has clocked over 18,000 bookings since its arrival in the Indian market. With this, the waiting period of the SUV is currently ranging over 2 months, depending on the variant. What’s more fascinating is that the demand for VW Taigun is substantially better than its sibling Skoda Kushaq, which had accumulated over 15,000 bookings so far, despite being launched three months earlier than the Taigun.

Commenting on the announcement, Mr. Ashish Gupta, Brand Director, Volkswagen Passenger Cars India said –

We are excited with the immense love and wide acceptance that the Taigun has received from all our patrons. Within the first month of launching the Taigun, we have witnessed close to 50% growth in our overall sales volume in the month of Oct’21 vis-à-vis the same month last year.

Volkswagen offers the Taigun in two broad trims: Dynamic Line and Performance Line. While the former consists of three sub-variants (Comfortline, Highline, and Topline), the latter has two (GT and GT+). Currently, they are priced from Rs 10.49 lakh to Rs 17.49 lakh (ex-showroom, pan-India).
