Volkswagen ID.2all Electric Hatchback Revealed

Volkswagen has taken the wraps off the newest and entry-level member of its electric ID (Intelligent Design) family, the ID.2all. You can find out everything you need to know about Volkswagen’s smallest ID member here: –

Platform and Dimensions

  • The Volkswagen ID.2all electric concept is based on the brand’s modular electric drive matrix (MEB) platform.
  • Dimensionally, it is 4,050mm long, 1,812mm wide, and 1,530mm tall, and has a 2,600mm long wheelbase.
  • Compared to the global-spec VW Polo, the ID.2all is 24mm smaller in length.

Battery, Range and Charging Time

  • The battery capacity of the Volkswagen ID.2all hasn’t been revealed yet, but it is expected to have an estimated range of up to 450km.
  • The Volkswagen ID.2all has a front-wheel-drive electric motor that cranks out a maximum power output of 226PS.
  • It is the first MEB-based electric vehicle with a front-wheel drivetrain (FWD).
  • In terms of performance, the upcoming electric hatch can complete the 0-100kmph sprint in less than seven seconds.
  • Its top speed is electronically limited to 160 kmph
  • With the help of a DC fast charger, it can be charged from 10 to 80 per cent in around 20 minutes.

Interior and Key Features

  • The Volkswagen ID.2all electric concept has a minimalist interior layout, with dual displays taking centre stage.
  • The notable features of the electric hatch comprise a flat-bottom steering wheel, floating touchscreen, digital driver’s display, ambient lighting, a rotary dial for the drive selector, and “play” and “pause” signs on the accelerator and brake pedals, respectively.
