VinFast VF6 and VF7 Bookings Now Underway In India

VinFast showcased its range of global products at the 2025 Auto Expo, and two of them, the VF6 and VF7, are set to foray into the Indian market. Pre-launch bookings for both electric SUVs are now officially open at a token amount of Rs 21,000, with their launch expected around the festive season.

VinFast will bring the VF6 and VF7 to India via the CKD route, and they will be assembled at the brand’s Tamil Nadu facility. The brand has also recently partnered with 13 dealer groups to open 32 outlets across 27 metro cities, including Delhi, Gurugram, Noida, Chennai, Bengaluru, Hyderabad and Pune.

vinfast vf6 expected price in India

VinFast VF6

  • Measuring 4238mm in length, the VinFast is a mid-size electric SUV that will be positioned against the likes of Hyundai Creta Electric, MG ZS EV, Tata Curvv EV and the upcoming Maruti eVitara.
  • VinFast will offer the VF6 in two variants: Eco and Plus.
  • Irrespective of the variant, the EV will come equipped with a 59.6kWh battery pack, with an expected range of over 400 kilometres.
  • Powering it will be a front axle-mounted single motor rated at 177PS/250Nm for the Eco and 201PS/310Nm for the Plus variant.
  • It will be offered in six body shades: Crimson Red, Jet Black, Desat Silver, Zenith Grey, Urban Mint and Infinity Blanc.
  • We expect Vinfast to price it at around Rs 35 lakh (ex-showroom).

Vinfast VF7 range

VinFast VF7

  • Among these two SUVs, the VF7 will be arriving first and will serve as VinFast’s flagship model in India.
  • Expected to be priced from around Rs 50 lakh (ex-showroom), it will face competition from the likes of the BYD Sealion 7, Kia EV6 and the long-wheelbase BMW iX1.
  • It will be offered in two variants: FWD and AWD, both equipped with a 70.8kWh battery pack.
  • The FWD variant will produce 204PS of max power and 310Nm of peak torque, while the dual-motor AWD trim will generate 350PS and 500Nm.
  • While VinFast hasn’t revealed the charging time and claimed range figures, it is expected to return over 450 km of range on a full charge.
  • The VinFast VF7 will share its colour palette with the VF6.
