Maruti eVitara Range and Charging Time Revealed

While the Maruti e-Vitara’s India debut is still awaited, the brand has now revealed its range figures and charging time in the United Kingdom. The carmaker revealed that the EV will offer a WLTP-claimed range of up to 426 kilometres on a single charge. For those unaware, the e-Vitara will be manufactured in India for both domestic and international markets.

The e-Vitara will be manufactured in India, not just for the domestic market but for exports as well. And interestingly, both the Indian and global-spec versions will get identical battery options. However, the powertrain options will differ. While the Indian-spec eVitara will be offered only with a single motor setup, the UK-spec version will also get a dual-motor AWD configuration. Maruti Suzuki e-Vitara: Features

The eVitara will be the brand’s most feature-loaded SUV in India to date, packed with a host of features seen for the first time on any Maruti vehicle. The key highlights include: –

  • A connected dual-screen setup for infotainment and instrument cluster
  • A 2-spoke steering wheel
  • A fixed glass roof
  • A 10-way adjustable driver’s seat
  • Slide-and-recline function for the second-row seats
  • A foldable middle seat doubling as a centre armrest

The other notable features of the eVitara include an all-LED lighting system, ambient lighting, leather-wrapped steering, ventilated front seats, multiple driving modes, a PM2.5 air filter, an electronic parking brake with auto-hold, seven airbags, a 360-degree camera, and level-2 ADAS.

Maruti Suzuki eVitara Expected Price and Rivals

We expect Maruti Suzuki to price the eVitara between Rs 17 to 22 lakh (ex-showroom), placing it against the Hyundai Creta EV, Tata Nexon EV, MG ZS EV, and Tata Curvv EV.
