VinFast VF3 Electric Mini SUV, Design Patent Filed In India

VinFast, a Vietnamese automotive brand, has recently broken ground for its first EV manufacturing plant in Tamil Nadu, India. And now, the carmaker has filed a design patent for the VF3 electric mini-SUV in the country.

Unveiled at the 2024 Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas, the VinFast VF3 is a 2-door mini-SUV that boasts a boxy design with chunky front and rear bumpers and black-finished wheel arches. Additionally, it features a black roof and glossy black alloy wheels. With its tall, robust appearance and ample ground clearance, the VF3 exudes a rugged charm.

Regarding dimensions, the VF3 measures 3190mm in length, 1679mm in width and 1620mm in height, with a boot space of 550 litres.

Inside, the micro SUV comes loaded with features, such as an advanced 10-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Android Auto and Apple Carplay, connected car technology, digital instrument cluster, fully folding 2nd-row seats, auto AC, cruise control and dual front airbags.

VinFast will be offered in two trim levels: Eco and Plus, both with a single-motor configuration. While technical details are scarce at the moment, it has a targeting range of approximately 201 kilometres on a full charge.
