Ultraviolette F77 All Variants Explained

Ultraviolette Automotive has today launched its first electric motorcycle in the Indian market called the F77. It comes in three variants: F77 (Original), F77 Recon and F77 Limited. There will only be 77 units of the latter, which is a special edition variant derived from the Recon trim with a few tweaks. But what’s exactly different between the three? Read on to know.

Ultraviolette F77 Specifications
  • As the above table indicates, all the variants of Ultraviolette F77 differ primarily in their battery pack and performance outputs.
  • A 7.1kWh battery powers the Original Ultraviolette F77 electric bike and is claimed to have a range of 207 km (IDC).
  • The latter variants are equipped with a larger 10.3kWh battery and are claimed to have a range of 307km. Likewise, peak output figures vary between the two.
  • Compared to Recon and Limited Edition, the Original trim weighs 10 kg lighter.

Design and Color Options

Design-wise, all the variants of Ultraviolette F77 look exactly the same, featuring F series – Fighter Jet Inspired aggressive design. It comes in three style forms – Airstrike, Shadow, and Laser, which reflect three unique characters.

As for colour schemes, the Original and Recon variants come in three paint options – Supersonic Silver, Stealth Grey, and Plasma Red. The Limited Edition variant, on the other hand, comes wrapped in dual-tone Meteor Grey & Afterburner Yellow.

The Ultraviolette F77 is based on the steel trellis frame with an aluminium bulkhead. The suspension duties are taken care of by a 41mm inverted fork up front and a monoshock, both adjustable for preload adjustable in Recon and Limited Edition variants. Braking duties are taken care of by the disc brakes at both ends, assisted by dual-channel ABS as standard.

Features

Ultraviolette has equipped the F77 with a 5-inch TFT dash with smartphone connectivity and LTE connectivity with integrated eSIM, enabling features such as turn-by-turn navigation, ride analytics, real-time location, crash detection and battery statistics, etc. The other notable features of the bike include an automatic LED headlamp, hazard lamps, lockdown sensors, crash guard, and 9-axis Inertial Measurement Unit (IMU) along with a built-in accelerometer, gyroscope & magnetometer. The Limited Edition trim also gets a lever guard.

Battery and Drivetrain Warranty

Ultraviolette offers 3 years / 30,000 kilometres of standard warranty on the battery pack and drivetrain of the base-spec Original variant, whereas the F77 Recon trim comes with the UV Care+ package, providing 5 years or 50,000km warranty. On the other side, the Limited Edition variant gets the UV Care Max package that comprises 8 years or 100,000km warranty, and the Recon’s warranty can be extended to this period as well.

Speaking of the vehicle warranty, all the variants of the F77 electric motorcycle get a standard plan of 3 years or 30,000km.
