Ultraviolette F77 Supersport Electric Motorcycle To Launch On November 24

The Bengaluru-based Ultraviolette Automotive has finally revealed the launch date of its highly-anticipated F77 electric motorcycle. The supersport bike is all set to go on sale on November 24, 2022.

For those who aren’t aware, the pre-production version of the Ultraviolette F77 was first showcased in 2019. However, the engineers at Ultraviolette have since worked more on the bike to improve and make it a lot more mature product. It is reportedly to come with three removable battery pack options, with a combined capacity rated at 4.2 kWh. It is claimed to offer a real-world range of around 150 kilometres and will support both fast charging and swappable battery functionality. That said, it will take around 5 hours to get fully charged by a 1kW standard vehicle-mounted charger. However, the 3 kW portable charger will juice it up in around 1.5 hours.

Powering the Ultraviolette F77 will be an air-cooled interior permanent magnet AC motor with a peak output of 33.5hp and 90Nm, enabling the bike to complete the 0 to 60kmph sprint in just 2.9 seconds before attaining a top speed of 147 kmph.

The F77 uses a steel trellis with an aluminium bulkhead, tipping the scale at 158 kg. Its underpinnings will comprise an inverted fork up front and a preload-adjustable monoshock in the rear. A hydraulic disc brake system at both ends will provide anchoring force, assisted by a dual-channel Antilock Braking System (ABS).

Ultraviolette F77 specs and features

In terms of features, the Ultraviolette F77 will be loaded with tons of premium equipment, such as an all-LED lighting system, automatic headlamps, hazard lights, lock-down sensors, shock & impact sensors for fall and crash detection, emergency contact alert, customisable riding modes, TFT rider’s display with integrated eSIM, NFC & Bluetooth connectivity, variable regenerative braking, and 9-axis Inertial Measurement Unit (IMU) for ride analytics with built-in accelerometer, gyroscope & magnetometer and Sensor Fusion technology.

We assume Ultraviolette to price the F77 between Rs 2.5 to 3 lakh (ex-showroom).
