All the variants of Jupiter scooter have witnessed a hike of Rs 1,040 in their ex-showroom prices. The BS6 Jupiter is now approximately Rs 8000 more pricey than its BS4 forerunner.

Does the price hike attract any changes?

No, with this addition in price, the company hasn't made any mechanical or features changes in the scooter. It continues to be powered by the same 109.7cc, single-cylinder, fuel-injected (FI) engine, which produces 7.4PS and 8.4Nm. In comparison to its BS4 version, the power output is 0.51PS less. However, the torque remains identical.

In terms of features, the classic variant of TVS offering comes equipped with an LED headlamp, LED taillamp, semi-digital instrument cluster, 21-liter under-seat storage compartment, mobile phone charging socket, windshield, dual-tone seat cover, drum brakes at both ends with CBS (combi-braking system), etc.

Rivals

In the 110cc scooter segment, the TVS Jupiter fights against the Honda Activa 6G and Hero Pleasure Plus

Author's Take

The BS6 TVS Jupiter is now Rs 1,040 dearer than before. The amount seems tolerable, but its a matter of fact that the buyers are facing economical pressures & their buying potential has somehow affected by the COVID-19 pandemic. Hence, a small hike can also work in the reverse direction in terms of selling numbers.
