TVS Apache RTR 165 RP Launched At Rs 1.45 Lakh

TVS Motor Company has launched the Apache RTR 165 RP, the first performance bike under its newly created Race Performance (RP) sub-brand. With this, it has become the most powerful motorcycle in its category. The bikemaker will soon introduce other bikes from the Apache series with Race Performance DNA.

TVS Apache RTR 165 RP – Price

TVS has priced the Apache RTR 165 RP at Rs 1.45 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi), making it Rs 24,950 more expensive than the top-spec SmartXonnect variant of TVS Apache RTR 160 4V. Interested customers can book the motorcycle online via TVS’ official website. It is worth noting that it is limited to just 200 units.

TVS Apache RTR 165 RP – What's Special?

The all-new Apache RTR 165 RP offers a host of premium features with fiery performance backed by four decades of the rich racing heritage of TVS. It uses a 164.9cc single-cylinder 4 valve engine that makes out 19.2PS of maximum power at 10,000rpm and 14.2Nm of peak torque at 8,750rpm. These class-leading figures have been achieved by reboring the Apache 160's engine and using a new cylinder head with a 35 percent increase in intake, a twin electrode spark plug, 15 percent bigger valves with high-lift cams and dual spring actuators, and a new dome-shaped piston to go with the higher compression ratio. Besides, the new race-tuned slipper clutch is the icing on the cake.

Apart from the class-leading performance, the new Apache RTR 165 RP also comes with a new bi-LED headlamp with signature front position lamp, adjustable brake and clutch levers, a segment-first 240mm rear petal disc brake, brass-coated drive chain & sprocket, all-new TVS Racing decals with customized stickers, red alloy wheels, and a new red-&-black dual-tone seat. Surprisingly, it misses out on the multiple riding modes and a preload-adjustable fork.

Commenting on the launch, Mr. Meghashyam Dighole, Head – (Marketing Premium Business), said –

We are delighted to introduce the Race Performance series to our customers. The RP series features race machines that are a cut above the rest, crafted with a singular purpose of delivering blistering performance and dominating the race track & road. Born of racing lineage, the TVS Apache RTR 165 RP is the first product under the Race Performance series product portfolio. The collectible product offers an array of premium features with cutting-edge technology for performance motorcycling enthusiasts in India.
