TVS Apache RTR 160 4V Just Got Another Price Hike

TVS Motor Company has once again increased the prices of its most sought-after Apache RTR 160V in the Indian market, by as much as Rs 1,250. It is the third time when the brand has revised its prices in the current year. While the price hike isn't substantial, increasing the prices frequently really affects the VFM (value for money) quotient. Here’s how it is priced now:

With the latest price hike, the Apache RTR 160 4V has become slightly expensive than its core rival Hero Xtreme 160R, which retails at Rs 1,07,490 for the single disc variant and Rs 1,10,540 for the double-disc trim. However, if you want to enjoy the exclusivity of Red/Maroon-&-White color shade then buying Xtreme 160R's 100-Million Edition will cost you Rs 1,12,340. But it is important to note that spending a few hundred rupees extra on the RTR 160 will offer you more power and a much-refined engine. For reference, the 2021 Apache RTR 160 4V comes with 159.7cc single-cylinder fuel-injected air-cooled engine (with an oil cooler) that generates 17.63PS at 9250rpm and 14.73Nm at 7250rpm, 2.43PS/0.73Nm more than the Xtreme's 163cc engine.

In comparison to the Bajaj Pulsar NS160 (Rs 1.13 lakh), the Apache RTR 160V is still more affordable and offers better features. The highlights include an all-LED headlamp, LED taillamps, Glide Through Technology (low-speed assist), a fully digital instrument cluster with a 0-60 lap timer, and a top speed recorder.
