While the base-spec E variant will come only with Suzuki’s 103PS 1.5-litre mild-hybrid petrol engine, the latter three will get both mild-hybrid and Toyota’s TNGA 1.5-litre strong-hybrid petrol engine options. It is worth noting that Toyota will be offering the strong hybrid powertrain from the second-from-the-base variant, whereas the Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara will offer the same from its second-from-the-top variant. Therefore, we expect the prices of Toyota Hyryder’s strong hybrid trims to start from a lower point than Grand Vitara’s hybrid variants.
