Toyota To Open A New Manufacturing Plant In Maharashtra

Toyota has announced to set up its new manufacturing plant in India in the Bidkin Industrial Area, Maharashtra. This new plant is projected to be operational in the first half of 2029 and is expected to strengthen Toyota’s business in India and nearby export markets. Once operational, this will be Toyota’s third facility in India.

In other news, Toyota is gearing up to launch its first all-electric car in India, the Urban Cruiser eBella, this month. It is essentially a rebadged version of the Maruti eVitara, which comes with two battery packs, offering a range of 543km on a single charge. Besides, Toyota is also working on the facelifted Hyryder and next-gen Fortuner.
