Toyota Issues Recall For Land Cruiser 300 In India

Toyota India has announced a voluntary recall for the Land Cruiser 300 SUV in India to reprogram the automatic transmission’s ECU (electronic control unit) software. As per the reports, 269 units of the Toyota Land Cruiser 300, manufactured between Feb 12, 2021 and February 1, 2023, are part of this recall. No incidents related to the affected part have been reported thus far.

Toyota dealerships will soon start reaching out to affected vehicle owners individually to arrange the necessary service campaign action as part of the recall. Meanwhile, LC 300 customers can also check if their Toyota vehicle is affected by the recall by entering their Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) / Frame Number using this link.

While Toyota hasn’t clarified the safety status of the affected SUV units in their current state, we advise you to promptly check if your vehicle is included in the recall. If so, we recommend getting it inspected without delay to ensure its optimal condition.

The Toyota Land Cruiser LC300, built on the TNGA-F platform, boasts excellent off-road capabilities. It’s lighter by 200kg compared to its predecessor, features improved suspension, and a Kinetic Dynamic Suspension System (KDSS) for stability.

Powering the Toyota Land Cruiser LC300 is a 3.3-litre, twin-turbocharged, V6 diesel mill that yields 309PS of maximum power and 700Nm of peak torque. It comes paired with a 10-speed torque converter automatic transmission and a 4×4 drive system.

In India, it rivals the Land Rover Range Rover.
